Campbellsport’s Brittany Reilly One of Top State Rebounders

On December 11, Campbellsport girls’ basketball lost 64-39 to Mayville on the road in their Flyway Conference contest. Campbellsport (1-6, 0-3) went on a 10-0 scoring run, highlighted by three three-point makes with two coming from Brittany Reilly and one from Sydney Brandt to make the score 10-4 in favor of the Cougars over Mayville. Mayville took the lead back at 12-10 before the Cougars responded with another impressive 7-0 stretch featuring a nice layup from Ava Sabish and another three-pointer from Brandt to retake the lead for Campbellsport at 17-12.

Campbellsport Girls have Two Wrestlers finish on the Podium

On December 12, Emersen Wissink and Savannah Ksioszk both went 5-1 at the Brillion Girls wrestling tournament to finish in third place in their weight classes.

On December 12, Campbellsport boys basketball lost 56-54 to Lomira in a highly competitive Flyway conference game. Campbellsport (0-4, 0-3) had an 11-7 lead over the third-ranked Lomira (4-0, 3-0) thanks to three-pointers from Carter Gellings and Cullen Reis. The Cougars’ strong team defense keyed the team’s strong start, which was fueled by the high energy in the gym between the two close rival schools.

Campbellsport (0-2, 0-1) jumped out to an 11-8 lead over Laconia (2-0, 1-0), thanks to a Noah Bobb three-pointer. NFDL held a 15-7 lead when Sydney Brandt made two free throws, and Berres continued to show her shooting prowess with another three-pointer to make the score 15-12 in favor of the Orioles.
