Campbellsport (8-10, 4-7) jumped ahead of Springs (12-7, 7-4) in the third inning with Josie Twohig and Peyton Hall hitting singles before the Ledgers got two outs against the Cougars. Emma Batzler hit a single to right to drive in two runs to take an early 2-0 lead over Springs.
On May 8, Campbellsport baseball defeated Omro 7-1 on the road to sweep the season series between the two teams. Campbellsport (14-5, 8-2) was able to score the first, thanks to back-to-back doubles by Kyler Bowe and Jace Goebel, with Bowe scoring on Goebel’s double to take a 1-0 lead in the first inning over Omro (6-9, 1-8). The Cougars’ offense showed off their hitting prowess, scoring five runs in the fourth inning, starting with an RBI double from Zach Zimdahl and followed by RBI singles from Trent Schladweiler, Brody Nolan, and Goebel to push their lead to 6-0 over the Foxes.

The Cougars girls’ team finished in second place with 152 points, and the boys’ team finished in first place with an impressive total of 211 points. Second-place finishes by Lydia Toshner in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and triple jump; Brooke Flegner in the 200m and long jump; Lexi Diels in the discus; Eva Pendowski in the 1600m; Ireland O’Laughin-Posey in the 100m; and Capri Constantineau in the 400m paved the way for the Campbellsport girls’ team at the meet.

Campbellsport (12-3, 6-2) scored three runs in the third inning against Laconia (11-2, 7-1). The Cougars loaded the bases with no outs, which was started by a Gage Kohlmann single. The Cougars were able to score the first run of the game with a bases-loaded walk from Jace Goebel, then followed up by manufacturing two more runs with two outs to take a 3-0 lead over the visiting Spartans.
