On August 30, Campbellsport volleyball traveled to Hartford High School for a busy day of volleyball at the Hartford Invitational. The Cougars won three matches on the day with wins over Kenosha Bradford in three sets, Waukesha South in two sets, and Wauwatosa West in two sets to advance to the Gold Championship at the Invitational.
On August 29, the Campbellsport and Kewaskum football teams squared off in their annual rivalry game for the Kettle Moraine trophy at Kewaskum High School. Campbellsport (1-1) and Kewaskum (0-2) traded punts on the first respective offensive drives of the game, before quarterback Eli Ogi threw a beautiful, deep pass over the Cougars’ defense into the hands of Jace Wichtoski for a 58-yard touchdown to give the Indians a 7-0 lead over Campbellsport with 7:11 on the first quarter clock.

On August 5, Campbellsport baseball beat Seymour 12-11 in the Class AA American Legion State Tournament in New London to win the Class AA state championship. Campbellsport (16-6) took control in the first inning over Seymour (18-4) by scoring nine runs in the opening inning. “We came out hot during the championship game against Seymour, scoring 9 runs in the first inning, then adding to it in the third,” said Campbellsport coaches Dave Bothe, Gary Goebel, and Jack McCarty. “Seymour did not give up, chipping away at the lead.”

On July 27, the Campbellsport baseball legion team beat Waupun 13-3 in six innings to advance to the Wisconsin American Legion Baseball Association 51st Annual Class AA State Baseball Tournament in New London, August 1-5.
