Campbellsport’s National Honor Society chapter hosted second annual Fall Festival

Posted

On Wednesday, October 21, Campbellsport High School’s National Honor Society chapter hosted its second annual Fall Festival for families of the community. This event is to raise funds for a nonprofit organization. This year, Belong Wisconsin was selected as the donation recipient. Belong Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization that supports youth and families in the foster care system. They help to not only maintain family connections, but also to provide resources and advocacy for those in need. The money raised will help fund their week-long camp, which reunites siblings often separated during foster care. The festival began with a very well-attended trunk-or-treat, where fifty trunks were put on by various local businesses, CHS clubs and sports, and families, without whom the event would not have succeeded. These included the Arc of Fond du Lac, NJK Construction, Kid’s Clubhouse, Campbellsport Police Department, and many others. Elevaré, a locally-owned mobile coffee truck, and Spoonlickers Cafe also served fall favorite treats for attendees. To conclude the evening, the parking lot was set up for a drive-in movie. Guests cozied up in their cars and tuned in to a popular Halloween film: Hotel Transylvania. Thank you to the community for a successful night, and to all those who supported the cause, which raised $800 for Belong Wisconsin.
