Three Cougars Finished in Top Four at Crusader Classic

On September 15, the Campbellsport boys cross country team finished in fourth place with 86 points at the Sheboygan Lutheran Crusader Classic.

“The meet was held at Sheboygan Lutheran High School, and their hilly 5000m course proved to be a challenge, with the morning rain making for slippery and muddy racing,” said Head Coach Mike Kulibert.

Campbellsport had three runners finish in the top four, with Caleb Siebauer in second place, Garrett Pickering in third, and Mason Dirmeier in fourth place.

“Auden surprised the team with a personal best time of 18:53, which was good for 23rd place and a medal,” said Kulibert. “Porter returned to action after missing a couple of

meets, so the Cougars had a full squad for the first time all season.”

.

The Campbellsport girls cross country team finished in ninth place with 229 points at the Invite.

“Madeline (22:30) broke twenty-three minutes for the second meet in a row and earned a medal in 24th place,” said Kulibert.

Campbellsport cross country teams will travel to Oshkosh on September 26.
