This weekend, March 6-8, the Campbellsport Lady Cougars will be traveling to Weston Lanes in Weston, Wis. (also a burb of Wausau) with the hopes of bringing home a second state team title.
Lillee Kiehnau and Abby Jarmuz will also be bowling in the singles competition, having both won a berth. Lillee finished second in the conference, and Abby finished fourth in the conference among all the female bowlers in District 7.
This trip will be the 17th for the Lady Cougar Bowling Program. Last year, the Cougars finished seventh, and the prior year they finished third.
“We have no State Champions from the 2023 team on our roster; the last of them graduated last year,” remarked Coach Serwe.
The team is young, and they have plenty of potential. They have been working hard the last four months. The State Tournament is a whole new opportunity - it is anyone’s for the taking.
