The Edgewood High School Crusaders (3-0) took a decisive 39-3 victory over the Kewaskum High School Indians (0-3) on Friday, Sept. 5, in a third non-conference football game at home.
“We knew that Edgewood was going to be a challenge for us with the number of returning players they had,” said Kewaskum Head Coach Jeff Rondorf. “They have depth, size, and speed.”
Kewaskum’s only points came in the first quarter with around eight minutes to go when Blake Staral kicked a 25-yard field goal.
The Indians’ celebration was cut short when Edgewood returned the kick off for a touchdown, making the score 6-3.
“During practice, offensively, we focused on what their defense was going to give us. We were able to take advantage of their secondary and were able to run the ball outside,” said Rondorf. “Defensively, we continue to focus on each person doing their job and trusting your teammates.”
