Campbellsport’s Jalen Gellings Comes Home to Play for Dock Spiders

Campbellsport’s Jalen Gellings is playing for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in the Northwoods League during the 2025 summer season.
Gellings’ baseball journey, after becoming a two-time all-conference player at Campbellsport High School, has taken him to Madison College for the past two years, honing his baseball skills, resulting in Jalen being nominated as an NJCAA All-American in 2025.
“Madison College is a place that I call home, where it taught me a lot by being a great program and building great relationships during my two years there,” said Jalen Gellings.
“Some favorite baseball moments were hitting a grand slam, which was pretty electric at Campbellsport during high school, and winning our home playoff games at Madison College with being in the dog pile after the wins,” said Gellings.

“Baseball is important to me because it still makes me feel like a kid again, and by getting better each day, plus playing the guys on the team,” said Gellings.
“My biggest influences were my mom (Nicole) and grandparents, by pushing me every day and getting my mind right to play the game,” said Gellings.
“It has been amazing to play close to home, and it is a dream to play for the Dock Spiders since I came to watch games here when I was growing up as a player,” said Gellings.
“I am looking to keep playing in college with my next opportunity after playing this summer with the Dock Spiders,” said Gellings.
“Jalen is a talented player and the type of person that we want in our program with his passion for the game by embodying what we want from all the players in our program,” said Madison College Head Baseball Coach Michael Davenport. “Jalen really bought into trying to show up to anything we were doing with the true attempt to walk [away] improved in some way, and his leadership will be missed.”
