On May 8, Campbellsport baseball defeated Omro 7-1 on the road to sweep the season series between the two teams.
Campbellsport (14-5, 8-2) was able to score the first, thanks to back-to-back doubles by Kyler Bowe and Jace Goebel, with Bowe scoring on Goebel’s double to take a 1-0 lead in the first inning over Omro (6-9, 1-8).
The Cougars’ offense showed off their hitting prowess, scoring five runs in the fourth inning, starting with an RBI double from Zach Zimdahl and followed by RBI singles from Trent Schladweiler, Brody Nolan, and Goebel to push their lead to 6-0 over the Foxes.
