Campbellsport Athletic Hall of Fame Welcomes Two New Members

Posted

Colin and Cameron Salter will be the newest inductees into the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
Their induction ceremony will be conducted at halftime of the boys’ basketball game against Winnebago Lutheran Academy on January 30, with the varsity game starting at approximately 7:00 p.m.
If you played with Colin or Cameron, or saw them play, show your support for this accomplishment. There will be a social after the game in their honor.
Here is a little background on these two very worthy Hall of Famers.

Colin made his mark in basketball and baseball, lettering three years in each and having a significant impact each season of both sports.
Colin was the Conference Player of the Year in basketball and led the conference in scoring with an average of 20.6 ppg, including a career-high 42 points versus Ripon.
In baseball, Colin was First Team All-Conference, All-District, and All-State in his senior year. Colin hit over .500, 16 doubles, six triples, seven home runs, and 55 RBI, and on the mound, went 7-2 with a 2.89 ERA, striking out 80 and walking just 17 in 53.3 innings, proving he could do it all!
Cameron was a stellar three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball, achieving 10 letters by being a three-time All-Conference performer in both basketball and baseball, plus being a two-three All-Conference performer in football.
He won a conference championship in baseball and won the triple crown with a .390 BA, 13 HR, and 32 RBI. In addition, he was a two-time All-District and an All-State performer in baseball.
Congratulations to both Colin and Cameron for their outstanding athletic achievements.
