Paul W. Waldschmidt, 75, of Campbellsport, passed away after a short illness at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday March 26, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1948, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late George and Mary (nee Dreikosen) Waldschmidt. He was a 1966 graduate of Campbellsport High School.   Paul was united in marriage to Karen F. Virta on October 30, 1971, at St. Nicholas Church in Dacada, WI.  Paul's first love was farming, and he worked the land and cared for the cows until his last days.  He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.  Paul enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat, watching his grandkids and great-grandchildren play sports.     Paul is survived by special friend, Karen Hartman; his sister, Joan Klapperich; children, Jeanne Landrath and Allan (Stephanie) Waldschmidt; grandchildren, Jordan (fiancee, Sabreena Loken), Nathan, Connor, and Myla; and great-grandchildren, Greyson and Layla; brothers-in-law, Joe Virta and Dan (Beth) Virta; and nieces, Kristia, Kaitlyn, and Mary Klapperich, Katie (Rich) Wares, and Kristi (Kim) Charlebois.    Paul is preceded in death by his, wife Karen F.; parents, George and Mary; brothers, Eugene “Gene” and Allen; son-in-law, Richard “Rich” Landrath; in-laws, Leo and Jeanette Virta; and sister-in-law, Dorthy (Gary) Beilke.    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 5, at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main Street, Campbellsport, WI 53010. Father Mark Jones will officiate, and a family burial will be held immediately following at St. Matthews Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church.      The family extends a special thank you to the Aurora at Home Hospice for helping us fulfill Paul's wish to come back to the farm one last time. Leona “Lonie” M. Hall, 92, formerly of Campbellsport, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at SSM Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac with her beloved family gathered around her. She was born on May 23, 1931, in The Town of Ashford, the daughter of the late Ed and Lena (nee Reihert) Beck. On September 27, 1952, Lonie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Leo G. Hall, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Leo preceded her in death on April 4, 2000. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Church and Christian Women Lonie was engaged with her husband, Leo, on the farm and also worked at Guenther’s IGA store for 29 years. After taking a C.N.A. course, Lonie was employed at St. Joseph Convent for 25 years. After retirement, Lonie did demos at the store where she enjoyed talking to and meeting people, after which she was a volunteer for Heartland Hospice, did stitching at church, and did Loaves and Fishes. In the winter, mom would enjoy creating beautiful crafts, which she would sell at craft shows. Her flower gardens were her pride and joy, and Lonie was a member of the Garden Club and the Green Shirt Ladies. Lonie loved baking for family and others. We will miss her delicious baked goods and the love of her “sweet tooth”. She is survived by her children, Andy (Monica) Hall of Lodi, Joan (Dennis) Oppermann of Campbellsport, Jean (Bob) Kleist of West Bend, Al (Ellen) Hall, and Art (Mary) Hall, all of Campbellsport; her grandchildren, Jodi, Heather, Jackie, Jenny, Kevin, Becky, Jake, Dan, and Angie; her great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with her parents and her husband, Leo, Lonie was preceded in death by a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., Campbellsport, and on Thursday, April 4, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Mathhew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery. Dennis J. Seefeld passed away on March 19, 2024 and will be dearly missed by many. Dennis was born on August 1, 1954, to Warren and Genevieve (Schmitz) Seefeld at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. His early years were spent on the family farm in Eden. While growing up, he attended St. Louis and St. Mary’s Springs where he made lifelong friends. Dennis proudly worked in the family business, Seefeld Sales & Service, for many years selling and servicing Allis Chalmers tractors and implements across the Midwest. On July 27, 1985, Dennis married the love of his life, Sheila Brickle, and together they built a happy life surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Dennis & Sheila had one child, Bernadette, of whom Dennis was very proud and shared an exceptionally close bond. He was unwavering in his deep love and commitment to his family. He especially loved spending time with his twin granddaughters who he adored. Dennis’ passion for continuing education carried through his entire life, as he pursued multiple technical diplomas and certifications, as well as being a Journeyman level tradesman. He dedicated the majority of his career to Harley Davidson and was well liked and respected in the leadership roles he held. As a lifelong learner, he was endlessly curious, expanding his knowledge on topics such as gardening, history, the mysteries of the night sky and all things nature. An environmentalist at heart, Dennis passionately cared about the earth and loved exploring the outdoors. His knowledge of all things Wisconsin, specifically the best camping spots and fine establishments across the State, were unparalleled. He shared this love of the outdoors with his family and friends by planning many adventures such as the 4th of July camping trips, the annual “tree hunt” and endless canoe and kayak trips. As an avid paddler, he took great pleasure in navigating waterways and exploring new places. Dennis was also a season ticket holder and huge Green Bay Packers fan, rarely missing a game. One of his favorite things to do was get people together. He made a profound impact on the lives of others. He had a magnetic personality with a knack for remembering people’s names and a sincere way of making everyone feel welcome. Countless people will remember fun times by his side, being captivated by his stories and lively, caring spirit. He loved the competition and being part of the original Crandon Brush Run Races. The Flying “O” Farm Barn Dance meant a great deal to Dennis and was a place where many fond memories were made. He was the President of the Seefeld Family Reunion and very proud of his German heritage. Dennis is survived by his wife, Sheila; their daughter, Bernadette (Tim) Ericksen; twin granddaughters, Vivian & Loretta Ericksen; his sisters, Bonnie (Jeff) Timler and Gloria (Dennis) Rasmussen; along with many nieces and nephews. Dennis became a member of the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department in 1975, of which he was incredibly honored to serve.  They say it takes a village, and Dennis’ family is forever grateful for the village that surrounded them with support during his illness. Especially Mary Leasa, Rob, Randy & Dave Schultz, Bruce Manderle, Mike Krudwig, Jim Odekirk, Jay & Laura Leasa, Sarah Kerch, Jeff Timler, Linda Zeleske, Patty O’Hearn, Tom Wellnitz, Mona Tennessen, Colleen and Steve Lingenfelter, and dogs Yoda and Blitzen. A very special thank you to Dennis’ sister Bonnie for all of her steadfast love and nursing care. Jean E. Dippel, 97, died Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2024, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, Plymouth, where she was a resident for the past seven years. She was born April 20, 1926, in the Town of Mitchell, Sheboygan County, the daughter of Ollie and Esther (Gatzke) Jeske. On June 17, 1944, Jean married Ralph E. Dippel at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cascade. Ralph preceded her in death on March 20, 1988. Jean was employed at Regal Ware, Kewaskum, for nearly 40 years. She and Ralph lived and farmed in the Town of Mitchell from 1944 until 1981 when they moved to Dundee, Fond du Lac County. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade and belonged to the Ladies Guild in the church. She loved gardening and flowers, baking, and spending time with her loving family. Jean is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Kelly) Heuver, Cedar Grove, and their three children, Kim (Tom) Bichler of Belgium, Kyle (Karen Hoffmann) Heuver of Waupun and Robin Heuver of Manitowoc; son, Randall (Becky Schulz) Dippel, Greenbush, and their children, Derrik (Stacy Hanson) Dippel and Brandon Dippel; daughter-in-law, Sheila (Wendt) Dippel, Cascade, and sons Jeremie (Jennifer Thull) and Jesse Dippel; son, Dean and Beth (Bartelt) Dippel, Cascade, and their daughter, Katie (Christopher Reilly). She is further survived by 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and her fourth son, Mark Jeske. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Roger; her brother and sister-in-law, Florian and Mildred (Kubitz) Jeske. Funeral services will be held on Monday (April 1, 2024) at 11:30 a.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Cascade. Valeria Ann Becker (nee Emmer), 84, of Campbellsport passed away March 16, 2024. God brought Valeria home after a vigilant fight with dementia, at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport. Valeria was born on May 18, 1939, in Ashford, the youngest of 10 children born to the late Edward and Adela (Bingen) Emmer. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, James “Jim” Becker, on September 17, 1960, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Ashford, and they enjoyed 64 beautiful years together. Valeria showed kindness to everyone she met; and was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, and we who were Valeria’s family members were privileged to have been loved and cared for by her. She was a kind, gentle person with a loving disposition who enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. She was always pleased to show her flowers to anyone who would visit. Her greatest gifts were her grandchildren, and she was happiest spending time with them. Whether she was making their favorite treats, listening to their dreams, or sharing a bit of wisdom that came from her many years of raising a family, Valeria put her grandchildren above everything else. Her grandchildren are the people they are today in large part because of Valeria’s presence in their lives. Valeria also served the greater community through her professional and faith life. She began working at Gilbert Shoes in Campbellsport, and was later a hot lunch cook at St. Matthew’s School for more than 20 years. For the hundreds of students who enjoyed hot lunch at St. Matthew’s, Valeria and her fellow cooks prepared homemade, from-scratch lunches that would rival any Sunday dinner. In addition to serving delicious meals, Valeria always had a smile for everyone, students and teachers alike. She was a member of the St. Matthew’s Christian Women’s Association and served St. Matthew’s parish in formal and informal ways. Val ended her professional career at Serigraph in 2003, where she retired from her role as a screen press operator assistant. Valeria is survived by her best friend and husband, Jim; her son, Scott of Houston, TX; daughter, Lisa (Steve) Tkachuk of Germantown; grandchildren, Kara Becker and Ryan Tkachuk; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Westerman. In addition to her parents, Valeria was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Leo and Loretta Becker; five brothers, Clarence (Gertrude) Emmer, Roman (Florence) Emmer, Wilmer (Mae) Emmer, Edward (Frances) Emmer, Robert (Rosalie) Emmer; four sisters, Elisabeth Emmer, Marion (Art) Theisen, Kathleen (Marvin) Zehren, and Rosalind Westerman; sister-in-law, Rosemary (Jack) Volm; and brother-in-law, Paul (Ramona) Becker. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport.
