Rose Theresa (Belligan) Lohaus, 101, passed away quietly at the Hope Nursing Home in Lomira, on November 30, 2020. She was born November 10, 1919, to Florian Sr. and Katherine (Sorgent) Belligan in Mayville. Rose was a lifetime resident of Mayville, and member of St. Mary’s church. She was married September 25, 1947, to Fred “Bud” Lohaus Jr. Rose is survived by her three brothers, John (Winona) Belligan, Joseph (Ceil) Belligan, and Michael (Diana) Neirink; many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and godchildren. Robert “Bob” Adelmeyer, 88, of Campbellsport was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020, at his home. He was born on July 20, 1932, to Louis and Laura (Sterr) Adelmeyer in Theresa. On February 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Klein at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Bob was a pipeline welder for many years and later owned and operated Adelmeyer Welding until retirement. He was a member of the Lomira Lions Club and was president of the Lomira Chamber of Commerce. Bob coached Little League and Legion Baseball. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and working on his hobby farm. He especially enjoyed spending time with family. He will be missed by all who knew him. Those Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory include his five children, Sandra (Kevin) South, Robert “Fuzzy” Adelmeyer, Nancy (Peter) Vegetabile, Richard (Denise) Adelmeyer, and Sharie (John Bautista) Stuebs; twelve grandchildren, Matthew “Matt” (Laurie) Adelmeyer, Carrie (Jason Lueck) Adelmeyer, Laina Neveau, Casey (Daniel) Mills, Kristen (fiancé John) South, Tami (Jamie) Tamm, Rose (Ed) Premo, Erin (Fiancé Oreva) Adelmeyer, Zachery Stuebs, Jacob Stuebs, Rachel Stuebs, Alexis Stuebs and Anson Bautista; eight great-grandchildren; Gracie, Emma, Katelyn, Zoe, Brooklynne, Scarlett, Marjorie, and Jameson; a brother, Louis (Sally) Adelmeyer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June 9, 1950-December 4, 2020 An Irishman walked into a pub... and now, he never has to leave. Timothy James Galvin was born on June 9, 1950, in Ames, IA, to Virginia and Joseph Galvin. From the beginning, Tim was a memorable character. He was a lover of good jokes and small world stories, and he was known as the life of every party. Family was everything to Tim, and he was always happiest when “his girls” were happy. Tim leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Kathy Galvin, and his daughters, Erin Blank, and Brenna Galvin (Kevin Hansen). He frequently said that his daughters got their good looks from Kathy, but he kept his. We will let the people decide. Tim was the proud grandfather of Parker James Blank, Cameron Joseph Blank, and Declan Vincent Blank. He got such joy and overwhelming pride from watching the boys grow up. He loved his family without abandon and ensured they knew that every day. Tim was also honored to act as a host dad to three foreign exchange students over the years: Dagmara Finlayson, Jess Ruciack, and Nathalia Mello Sales. Tim is survived by a large, extended family, including his mother, Virginia Galvin, and his siblings, Michael Galvin (Susan Demos), Kathy Monroe (Michael Monroe), Susan Jeffrey (Dick Jeffrey), Daniel Galvin (Suzi Galvin), and Sheila Pearman (Perry Pearman), and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joanne May and Joseph May, and his wife’s siblings, Tom May, Joe May (Tammy May), Cindy Waterford (Rick Waterford), and Pam Kerr (Jeff Kerr). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews that he loved belly laughing with. Tim was a proud alumni of Indiana University, where he received his undergraduate degree in Public Administration and his Master’s degree in Park and Recreation Administration. He would tell you with a twinkle in his eye that he graduated “summa cuma barely.”’ His friends would report that he had the best time along the way. At IU, Tim was the Captain and Coach of the Rugby Team and is featured in the IU Rugby Hall of Fame. Tim was passionate about the outdoors, and he spent many hours golfing (with irregular success) at Rock River Hills Golf Course and sailing on Lake Winnebago. He often shared stories from his youth spent along the shore of Lake Michigan, knees deep in a sand dune. Tim also loved singing off key and dancing. He had more moves than Allied Van Lines. Tim spent his career working for the Department of Natural Resources where he met many fine friends and colleagues. Tim also cared deeply about his friends, and the community at large. He truly embodied the Rotary motto of “service above self.” Tim would show up in big ways and small - from cooking a pot of chili or snow blowing a driveway to volunteering his time in service to organizations including the Hartford Jaycees, Horicon Lions Club, Rock River Hills Golf Club Board of Directors, Friends of Dodge County Parks Board of Directors, Dodge County Humane Society Board of Directors, Horicon Board of Education, Horicon Marsh International Education Center Board of Directors, and the Horicon Rotary Club. Due to COVID-19 and in efforts to keep everyone safe, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Service:  Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m.  Location:  St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point Bernard Lawrence Karger, 86, formerly of Milwaukee and Stevens Point, died November 30, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Ben was born September 4, 1934, in Bessemer, MI. He was the son of Frank J. Karger, Sr. and Rose Karger. Ben graduated from Boys Tech in Milwaukee. Bernard entered the service on June 20, 1952, in Chicago, IL. He served in the Navy, receiving the Navy’s National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on September 2, 1955, in Beeville, TX. He was a union bricklayer by trade and a member of local #8. His marriage to Rita Karger took place May 4, 1957, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. After the marriage, the couple settled in Milwaukee area until 1996. He retired as a superintendent in 1995, at the age of 61. Upon retirement, they moved to Stevens Point until 2015, when they resided at Lakeview Place assisted living in Fond du Lac. Upon the passing of his wife, Ben moved into the home of his daughter in Mayville, and resided there until his passing. Ben enjoyed watching football, basketball, baseball and discussing history and politics. He was fond of being outside, walking and especially fishing. He loved to have his family together for any occasion and was known for throwing a good party. He was always willing to help others and work with his hands. Over the years, he remodeled not only his homes, but helped his children work on their homes too. Survivors include children, Mike (Chris), Steve (Jan), Dave (Cheryl), Sue (Craig) Scholz and Tom; brother-in-law, Ronald Oestreicher; grandchildren, Steve, Danny, Megan, Matthew, Elizabeth, Austin, Grant, Jennifer and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Chase, Amaya, Cameron, Braxton, Isaiah, Kiara, Mason and Harper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; his grandson, Nick; his brothers, Leonard and Frank, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec, 9, at St. Stephen Catholic Church Stevens Point. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes officiated. Full military honors followed the funeral mass. Burial will take place at St. Stephen’s parish cemetery at a later date. Masks were required at the church. Michael S. Janoska, 77, of Iron Ridge, passed away on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020. Mike was born on December 23, 1942, to John S. Janoska and Maria T. Ave Maria. Mike was warm-hearted, playful, and creative. Born and raised in West Allis, Mike remained connected to the city throughout his life. A graduate of Central High, Mike fondly remembered his formative years in West Allis, his friends and teammates, and his days playing ball on McKinley playground. After graduating high school and spending two years in the military, Mike worked for 35 years as a steamfitter with the Local 601. He was employed with companies such as AO Smith and the Pabst Brewery and appreciated working on the beautiful old buildings in downtown Milwaukee. After retirement, Mike focused his energy on sports, crafts, and carpentry. He loved helping others and volunteered at a local scout camp and made numerous donations to Honor Flight. Mike enjoyed sports, word games, wood working, and camping with his family. He loved hosting dinner parties, fish frys, and any gathering where he could cook and bake for his friends. He was particularly proud of his potica, his pineapple upside-down cake, and his legendary banana crème torte. Mike leaves behind his beloved wife, Suzanne; children, Todd, Tracie, Jacob, and Whitney; and grandchildren, Elijah and Zoe; siblings, brother David and wife Judy, brother Jan, brother Timothy and wife Sharyn, brother Phillip and wife Sue, and sister Judy and husband Tom. There will be no funeral as the family advocates for all efforts to prevent the spread of COVID 19. (Raether) Wendegatz, 84, passed away on Saturday Dec. 5, 2020, in West Bend. She was born on December 12, 1935, in Oseola, to Jacob and Marie (Kutz) and raised in Fond du Lac County and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. Joyce attended Campbellsport High School. She moved to West Bend after high school when she went to work at Pick Manufacturing and the various jobs. She later married Delmar E. Wendegatz on April 28, 1956. Her hobbies were needlepoint, crocheting and loved attending all sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also liked to go to the casino. She was a member of St. Paul’s Cedar Lake Lutheran Church. Joyce is survived by her husband, Delmar; children, Del of West Bend, Daryl (Phyllis) of Milston and David (Lorrie) of West Bend and Dawn (Todd) Machtig of Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her sister, Donna (Miles) Wilson of Cecil; sisters-in-law, Darlene Ernisse of Kohlsville, Marilyn Christian of Hartford and Betty Raether of Kewaskum; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Adolph and Viola Wendegatz; her brothers, Lester (Ruth), Fritz (Alice) and Ralph Raether and her sister, Gertrude (Art) Backhaus. Reible, 75, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born on December 21, 1944, the son of Carl and Ruth (Hartwig) Reible. Shortly after, he was baptized into the Christian faith at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Knowles. In 1958, he was confirmed, also at St. Luke's. After graduating from Mayville High School, he enlisted to serve his country as a member of the United States Navy. He was a crewman on the U.S.S. Niagara Falls, and did one tour of duty in Vietnam. He met his wife, Nancy, while he was stationed in Long Beach, CA. Upon his return, he began his civilian career as a mechanic at Mayville Implement, R & L Repair, and Michels Pipeline. He finished his working career at R.E. Phelon in Lomira. Dennis loved playing for his Uncle Milton's baseball team for many years, until an injury forced him to the sidelines. He also served his local community as a volunteer at the Knowles Fire Department. He loved his church, serving many years as a Sunday school teacher, and many terms on the church council. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for his family and friends, especially the children, and was very proud of his real beard. He was a member of The American Legion, Lomira Post #347 for 53 years, spending six of those years as the legion commander. Dennis is survived by his sons, Joel (Diane Wendel) Reible of Fond du Lac, Toby (Michelle Kern) Reible of McFarland; grandchildren, Adam Buzzel, Amber Schuster, Kade Forsberg, Katrina Munro, Tyler Reible, Kim Reible, Gage Reible, Miyah Reible, and Carly Reible; siblings, Carl (Mary) Reible Jr, Joyce (Don) Schwartz, and Bonnie (Andy) Schraufnagel; nieces, nephews, and many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; and his parents, Carl and Ruth Reible. Ardella Beatrice Walls, 93, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Saturday morning, Nov. 28, 2020, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living. She was born September 13, 1927, in Oconto Falls, daughter of Ervin Albert and Catherine (Owen) Regal. Ardella graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the Class of 1945. On June 5, 1949, she married Harvey Eugene Burtnett at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Underhill. After their four children were in school, Ardella resumed her college degree and graduated from Columbia County Teachers College in 1967. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh during her summers off. Ardella taught at Dodge County Schools for over ten years and was known to her students as “Mrs. Birdnest”. On December 5, 1977, Harvey preceded her in death, after 28 years of marriage. Ardella still taught art and was a substitute teacher after Harvey’s death. In 1983, she married Wilbur O. Walls in Crystal, MN. The two retired to Avon Park, FL. They remained there until Will passed away in 2006. After Will’s passing, Ardella moved to Sturgeon Bay. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she served as organist. She enjoyed her social time at the Senior Center and her frequent trips to Walmart. She was a true artist who liked to oil paint, sew clothing and play piano, but her favorite hobby, which she truly loved, was shopping. Ardella will be missed by her children, Eugene (Paula) Burtnett of Westminster, SC, Nancy Messersmith of Sturgeon Bay, Bruce (Lisa) Burtnett of Sturgeon Bay, and Frank Burtnett of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Nikole (John) White, Natasha (Beau) Branson, Micky (Richard) Wilde, Jesse (Gladys) Messersmith, Jillian (Robert) Boll, Ryan (Salina) Burtnett, and Reed Burtnett; great-grandchildren, Aiden Branson, Mason and Carter Wilde, James and Alexis Hamilton, Jordan Boll, Nolan LeCloux, and Selma and Hurley Burtnett; siblings, William (Billie Ann) Regal, Neva Regal, David (Zoey) Regal, and Austin (Sandy) Regal; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
