Robert A. “Bobbo” Royes


   Robert A. "Bobbo" Royes, 85, of West Bend, formerly of Mayville and Green Valley, AZ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with his family by his side.   Robert was born the son of John and Genevieve (Jagodzinski) Royes on December 15, 1936, in Chicago.   He served his country honorably in the US Army from 1957 to 1963, serving as SFC (E-6) Military Police.   Bob was united in marriage to Sandra J. Kapp on August 31, 1963, in Chicago.   He had worked as a purchasing manager for several area manufacturing companies such as Mayville Engineering Company, Watertown Metal Products, and retired from Gleason Reel in January of 2001.    Robert was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mayville and also The Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior in Green Valley.   In his spare time, Bob loved sports and was a great athlete. He played softball until his early 80s and was a proud member of the BAJA Sporting Club in Green Valley and also served on its Board of Directors. Bob also enjoyed volunteering in his community helping out with the Sheriff’s Auxiliary (S.A.V.) and Operation Christmas Child.   Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandi of West Bend; his children, Cathy (Jeff) Schneider of Fond du Lac and B.J. (Amy) Royes of West Bend; his sister, Romaine (Larry) Burfield of FL; his grandchildren, Josh (Hannah) Royes, Dustin (fiance’ Libby) Schneider, Zack Royes, and Taylor (Brandon) Van Bogaert; his great-granddaughter, Emilia; further survived by other relatives and many friends.   Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John, Jr.   A memorial service for Bob will take place on Saturday, June 11, at 12 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Military honors will be conducted by the Army Honor Guard and the Mayville American Legion Post #69. Charles J. Kreuziger


   Charles J. Kreuziger, 88, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital.   Charles was born on September 18, 1933, in Watertown, a son of the late John and Genevieve Kreuziger (nee Powers) and he married Beverly Nickel on December 21, 1957.   He worked as a mechanic and also at Clearview Nursing Home in maintenance.    Charlie enjoyed hunting, watching the birds and working on small engines.   Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Raymond Kreuziger (Sharlyne Tetzlaff), Charleen (Ted) Lamp, Rena Eldridge (Jim Haslow), and Michael (Julia) Kreuziger; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Schartner and Judy Zastrow.   He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; and siblings, LeRoy Kreuziger, Roman Kreuziger, Elizabeth Kreuziger, and Robert Kreuziger.   A memorial service in remembrance of Charles will be held on Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Jerry E. Billington

Jerry E. Billington


 Jerry E. Billington, 75, of Horicon, passed away after a lengthy battle with MS at Clearview in Juneau.   Jerry was born the son of Ellis and Marion (Uhl) Billington on August 15, 1946.   He was united in marriage to his first wife, Donna Weber, on June 4, 1966. They had one daughter, Tracy (Billington) Liggins. He married his second wife, Judy Michael, on June 30, 1988, and they had three children, Ryan, Ashley (Nick Curry), and Brittany (Andy Wendt).   Jerry worked for the City of Horicon for most of his life and retired on January 2, 2003.   He had a passion for helping others in his community. Jerry was a past firefighter, emergency management, and DCERT. He also served his community as past alderman. Jerry had his own light service as well.   In his spare time, Jerry loved to go on camping trips.   Jerry is survived by his children, Tracy Liggins of Beaver Dam, Ryan of Horicon, Ashley (Nick Curry) Billington of Horicon, and Brittany (Andy Wendt) Billington of Beaver Dam; his step-daughters, Michele (Marcus Kirchoff) Reinwald of Hustisford and Stephanie (Richard) Eichorst of Horicon; his brothers, James and John; his grandchildren, Samantha and Alyssa Eichorst, Vanessa Buchda and Mitchell Papke; his great-granddaughters, Emma, Gracelynn and Rose Buchda; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jane Preston; and a step-grandson, Thomas Reinwald.   A graveside memorial for Jerry is being planned for a future date.   The family wishes to thank the staff at Clearview in Juneau for their care and support shown to Jerry and his family over the years.   Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Horicon is serving the family. John ‘Mighty Fine’ Feucht

John ‘Mighty Fine’ Feucht


   John ‘Mighty Fine’ Feucht, 85, of Hartford passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.   John was born the son of Martin and Helen (Kahlhamer) Feucht on May 12, 1937. John attended Mayville High School until his sophomore year, then came back to work on the farm before entering the US Marine Corps. and serving from 1955-1957. He served as a Marine Corps Tank Commander in the South Pacific.   He then came back and was united in marriage to Charlotte Collien and started his family. They later divorced and he was united in marriage to Charlene Jansen on February 11, 1989. John raised his children on the farm in LeRoy, while working 10 years for Waas Boring and Cable. He was also a volunteer Knowles Fireman and Dodge County Deputy Sheriff serving as Constable for LeRoy. John then opened Mighty Fine’s Tavern in Knowles, alongside selling paint jobs for Roberts Brothers Painting. He then went on to work at Slinger Foundry and then finished his working career at Hahn’s True Value in Hartford.    As you can tell, Mighty Fine really never could stop working, and always had to be busy. As this is planting season, his garage was filled with flowers ready to go into planters and vegetables for his many jars of beets and pickles that he canned every year. John and Charlene had many good years spent filling up the bird feeders and feeding squirrels along with all the flowers around the yard. They also enjoyed bus tours, rummage sales, and selling his hand painted saw blades. He was a wonderful caregiver to Charlene in her final years and now they are together again.    Mighty Fine was also a pit crew member for Ray Bohlander Racing Team. He enjoyed sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, and the Bucks. He was also a member of the R.A.T. Club Tractor Club. John also enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, and spearing. He was a founding member of the Field and Stream Sportsman Club. He was also a member of the Slinger VFW Post #3358 and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rubicon.   John is survived by his children, Shelly (Duey) Valle of Pickford, MI, Fran Feucht of Idaho, Patti (Scott) Wells of Brownsville, Tina ‘Charlene’ (K.R. Holden) Feucht of Euless, TX, Jeni (Dennis) Oechsner of Brownsville; step-children, Denien Jensen of Texas and Cynthia (Timothy) Hill of Hartford; his grandchildren, Brad Valle, Nicole (Justin) Prenevost, Daniel (Jessica) Feucht, David (Ashley) Feucht, Jessica (Chris) Siple, Travis Wells, Melissa (Luke) Riehbrandt, Tanya (Landon) Schoenmann, and Kendra (Trever) Apfelbeck; his step-grandchildren, Bobby (Alissa LaCross) Lindemann and Amanda (Brian) Seniuk.; his 11 great-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; his siblings, Caroline Sternat, Norbert (Louise) Feucht, Jerome (Ruthie) Feucht, Clarence (Sharon) Feucht, and Clem (Elaine) Feucht; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlene; daughter-in-law, Brenda Cramer; step-grandson, Mitch Lindemann; brother-in-law, Nubby Sternat; and a brother in infancy.   A memorial Mass of Christian Burial for John will take place on Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rubicon with the Rev. Fr. Rick Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the church.    Michael “Mike” Glen Rohde Jr., 44, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022.   He was born November 9, 1977, in Hartford, to Michael Glen Sr. and Elaine (Christian) Rohde.   Mike graduated from Mayville High School and went on to obtain a degree from ITT Technical Institute. He started Rohde Seamless Gutters in 2021. Mike enjoyed helping his friends out at CB’s Tap. He loved hunting and fishing, especially fishing with his daughter. Mike was a kind and caring father.   He is survived by his daughter, Savannah LaValle Rohde of Green Bay; mother, Elaine Rohde of Lakewood; siblings, Lori (fiancé Cleff Gibson) Rohde of West Bend, Wayne Rohde of Slidell, LA, Christopher Rohde of Lakewood; niece and nephew, Amanda and Arbie Gibson; and many other relatives and friends.    Mike was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Donald (LaValle) Christian, Glen (Mavis) Rohde; uncle and godfather, Neal Christian; cousins, Corey Schneider and Samuel Rohde.   Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. John Palmer Hennig

John Palmer Hennig


   John Palmer Hennig, better known as Johnny P or JP, 80, passed away at his home on May 18, 2022. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-papa.   John was born on July 27, 1941, to Palmer and Helen (Fleming) Hennig in Mayville.   John graduated from Mayville High School, joined the Navy and came out as a Second-Class Engineman Diesel Mechanic. He served our country for four years and spent two years in the Reserves.   John married Barbara Ehlers on October 31, 1964, at St. Mary’s Church in Mayville. They raised two children together, Susan (Duane) Wiese of Fond du Lac and Michael (Izzy) Hennig of Kewaskum. John was blessed with five grandchildren, Brandon (Rachael) Wiese, Sadie (special friend Teddy) Hennig, Aaron (Erica) Wiese, Kelsie (Adam) Groth, and Cayden (special friend Elizabeth) Wiese. Especially dear to him were his great-grands, Alivia, Mia, and a newborn, Ronan Palmer Wiese, born the day before his great-grandpa’s passing and will carry on the Palmer name.   Johnny P took over his dad’s Hennig’s Spur Station in Mayville from 1963 until 1988. John then began work in the maintenance department at Seneca Foods. He was a City of Mayville Firefighter for 30 years and Emergency Medical Services volunteer for 39 years, serving as EMS coordinator from 1988 to 2008. He retired from the fire department as Senior Captain, truck 164.   John and Barb enjoyed vacationing near and far. He could fix anything and loved to tinker out in the shed or garage on all types of projects.   After retirement, John and Barb moved to Wautoma, building their dream home at “Rocky Top” and enjoying the quiet life in the woods, especially when sand pit neighbors Dennis and Bonnie joined them for adventures and laughs. John loved the outdoors, and target shooting, yearly hunting trips and making wood were some of his favorite hobbies. John and Barb loved when their kids and grandkids came to their ‘bed and breakfast’ and spent time with them on the trails in the woods and making memories.   John is survived by his wife, Barb; his daughter, Susan and her family; and his son, Michael and his family. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Kucharski; his brother-in-law, Glenn (Brenda) Ehlers, and his brother-in-law Gary (Marne) Ehlers, along with nieces and nephews and other family and friends. John is survived by special friends from Florida and Arizona, along with Mayville Fire and EMS and Seneca – that special friend connection did not diminish throughout the years.   John’s parents, parents-in-law, and his brother-in-law, Norbert Kucharski, preceded him in death.    A visitation for John will take place on Sunday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville.   A private family funeral and burial will be held with military honors conducted by the Mayville American Legion Post #69, assisted by grandchildren Aaron and Cayden Wiese who will play taps.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Mayville Fire and EMS department, or you can plant a tree in your backyard in his memory. Shirley A. Quandt

Shirley A. Quandt


   Shirley A. Quandt, 87, of Mayville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Summit Aurora Hospital in Oconomowoc, following a fall.    Shirley Anne Schultz was born on September 3, 1934, in Mayville, daughter of Erwin and Edna Metke Schultz. She grew up on Henninger Street and was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married.   Shirley was a 1952 graduate of Mayville High School.    Shirley was united in marriage to Edgar ‘Red’ Walter Quandt on September 17, 1955, and their 49-year happily-ever-after centered around Mayville.   Shirley enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a 50-year Dodge County elections worker and in her young adult years also worked as a secretary (administrative assistant) for the West Bend Company, Maysteel, and Schinderle Insurance.    In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed collecting Hummel figurines and cheering on the Packers. Her service included Senior Luther League, Aid Association for Lutherans, singing with the Church choir, and quick response to many committees. She liked to travel with Edgar, created perfect needlepoint, beautiful cut-out Christmas cookies, and could wrap a gift as if prepared for a photo shoot. Her phenomenal recall of detail is fondly recounted by her grandchildren, of whom she was exceptionally proud; “Before there was Google, there was Grammy”.   Survivors include her son, Greg, and wife, Teresa, of Peachtree City, GA; her grandchildren, Matthew Quandt, and wife, Rebecca, of Arlington, VA, Lindsay Quandt Gossner and husband, Joel, of Atlanta, GA, and Joshua Quandt and wife, Jada, of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Violet Schultz of West Bend; her first great-grandchild, James Edgar Quandt of Arlington, VA, was happily anticipated; her niece, Christine Bauer, and husband, Joe, of Peoria, AZ; her nephew, David Quandt, and wife, Christine, of Lomira; extended friends and family also affectionately recall her kind-hearted, thoughtful, and determined soul.   Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, and brothers, Gordon and Willis ‘Dick’ Schultz.   A memorial service for Shirley will take place on Saturday, May 21, at 12 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Kenneth Schaub officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at the church.   John A. Paul, 60, of Theresa, passed away on May 12, 2022, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.   John was born on July 16, 1961, in Cudahy, the son of the late Jesse and Janet (nee Rassel) Paul. John was an avid fisher and hunter. He was a great uncle and friend to many. John was employed at Gromax Precision Die and Manufacturing in Germantown.   Those John leaves behind to cherish his memory include his siblings, Jim (Jenny) Paul of Ellington, Connecticut, and Joan (David) Bonack of Theresa; his niece and nephews, Jesse, JoAnna, Jack, Jared; other relatives and friends.   In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Paul.  A visitation and funeral service plans are pending.    Miles L. Buggs, 59, of Mayville en­tered into eter­nal life on Tues­day May 10, 2022.   Miles was born the son of Howard and Agnes (Bor­chardt) Buggs on Feb­ru­ary 15, 1963, in Mil­wau­kee. He hon­or­ably served his coun­try in the Navy, serv­ing from Au­gust 1981 until Au­gust 1984.   Miles was united in mar­riage to Mary Feier­stein on May 7, 1982, in Mil­wau­kee.   He loved his work as an elec­tri­cian.   Miles was an ac­tive mem­ber of Chris­t­ian Life Fel­low­ship and vol­un­teered his skills as an elec­tri­cian for the church and was also very ac­tive with the Mayville Food Pantry.    In his spare time, Miles en­joyed ‘junk­ing’ and col­lect­ing. Along­side his wife and fam­ily, they en­joyed travel and vis­ited many places such as Hawaii, Alaska, and Mex­ico.    Miles is sur­vived by his wife, Mary of Mayville; his fa­ther, Howard Buggs of Mil­wau­kee; his chil­dren, Jacque­line (Nick Derus) Buggs of Mayville, Theresa (Josh) Smith of Mayville, and Daniel (An­drea) Buggs of Juneau; his grand­chil­dren, Riley, George, Alexan­der, Elias, Theodore, and Hadas­sah; his brother, Scott Buggs of Mil­wau­kee; his nephew, Alan (Lisa John­son) Buggs of Mil­wau­kee. He is fur­ther sur­vived by other rel­a­tives and friends.   He was pre­ceded in death by his mother, Agnes.   A fu­neral ser­vice for Miles was held on Fri­day, May 13, at 3 p.m. at Chris­t­ian Life Fel­low­ship in Mayville with Pas­tor Matt Lewandowski of­fi­ci­at­ing. Vis­i­ta­tion will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. until the time of the ser­vice at the church. Mil­i­tary hon­ors will be con­ducted by the Mayville Amer­i­can Le­gion Post #69. A con­tin­ued cel­e­bra­tion of Miles’ life will fol­low the ser­vice with food and fel­low­ship.   The fam­ily is es­pe­cially ap­pre­cia­tive of the crew of the Mayville Food Pantry, home away from home for Miles.
