Arlene M. Bonack


 Arlene M. Bonack (nee Fink), 96, of Theresa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira.   Arlene was born the daughter of Richard, Sr. and Amilda (Neumann) Fink on July 10, 1927.   She was united in marriage to Gilbert Bonack on August 17, 1946, at St. Peter’s in Kekoskee.   Arlene worked for Hanni Cheese Factory and also alongside her husband who was a lifelong farmer in the Township of Theresa.   She was an active member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Kekoskee, serving her church on the Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, and the Luther Society. Arlene was also a member of the Mayville Legion Auxiliary.    In her spare time, Arlene loved to travel with her husband and family, seeing much of the world.    Arlene is survived by her children, David (Joan) Bonack of Theresa, Lois (Allen) Wetzel of Kekoskee, and Donald (Kim) Bonack of Mayville; her brother, Richard Jr. (Dorothy) Fink; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Feucht, Julia (Mike) Schramek, Jeffrey (Laura) Bonack, Jared Bonack, Brian (Kendra) Wetzel, Dustin (Emily) Bonack, and Cory (Cassandra) Bonack; her great-grandchildren, Wesley, Elisha, Julien, Josiah, Victoria, Emma, Rose, Anna, Hayden, Hailey, Zander, Sydney, Caden, Beckett, Emmett, Henry, Scarlett, Cayden; and one great-grandchild on the way; great-great-grandchildren, Declan, Astrid, Essme, and Silas.; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilbert; sister, Geraldine (Earl) Weiss; and sister-in-law, Norma (Percy) Brown; and brother-in-law, Elmer (Evelyn) Bonack; three sisters and one brother in infancy.   A funeral service for Arlene will take place on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Kekoskee with Rev. William Carter officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Elisabeth “Liz” Jane Garriety


 Elis­a­beth “Liz” Jane Gar­ri­ety (nee Feucht), 82, of Lomira, passed away peace­fully at home on Easter Sun­day with her fam­ily by her side.    She was born on Oc­to­ber 19, 1941, to the late Anton and Kather­ine (nee Kral) Feucht on the fam­ily farm in rural Knowles. Liz at­tended grade school down the road from the home­stead at Hick­ory Grove School, grad­u­ated from Mayville High School in 1960, and mar­ried the love of her life, Ed­ward “Ed” Gar­ri­ety, on July 23, 1960. To­gether they resided in Nas­bro until they moved to Lomira in 1964.   Liz was a de­voted wife, mother, grand­mother, great-grand­mother, and won­der­ful mother-in-law. She was also a spe­cial “grandma” to nu­mer­ous chil­dren that she cooked for in the Lomira School Dis­trict for over 30 years.    Liz was bap­tized, con­firmed, and mar­ried at St. An­drew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy and was a mem­ber of St. Mary’s Parish in Lomira. Liz en­joyed count­less hours gar­den­ing, can­ning, fam­ily camp­ing trips, and never missed a chance to watch a con­cert or sport­ing event of her chil­dren, grand­chil­dren, and great-grand­chil­dren. Be­side her faith, her fam­ily came first in life. She showed that love by the nu­mer­ous home-cooked meals she made. Mom will al­ways be re­mem­bered for her mo­lasses cook­ies, red cake, and Ger­man potato salad.   Those Elis­a­beth leaves be­hind to cher­ish her mem­ory in­clude her five chil­dren, Christina “Tina” (Mark) Mueller, Patrick “Pat” (Kris) Gar­ri­ety, Michael “Mike” (Linda) Gar­ri­ety, Tim­o­thy “Tim” (Angie) Gar­ri­ety, and Dar­cie (Rick) Heberer; 17 grand­chil­dren, Scott (Natasha) Mueller, Lee (Emma) Mueller, Brit­tany (Michael) Merk, Kelly Mueller, Jenna (Max) Larsen, Erin (Bryce) Ban­nach, Becka (friend, Eric Fritsch) Gar­ri­ety, Mitchell Gar­ri­ety, Tyler (friend, Cassie New­comer) Gar­ri­ety, Cam­ryn Gar­ri­ety, McKenna (friend, Mason Neu­man) Gar­ri­ety, Ben Gar­ri­ety, Eli Jo Gar­ri­ety, and Katie (friend, Noah Lemke) Gar­ri­ety, and Zachary, Jacob and Nathan Heberer; 11 great-grand­chil­dren, Aiden, Vaeda, Dekker, Jaxon, Ivy, Mil­lie, Oliver, Beau, Reed, Hazel, and Lin­coln (whom she got to hold just hours be­fore she passed); four sis­ters, Ruth (Jerry) Gassner, Pat (Stan) Waas, Joann Janz, and Kathy (Lyle) Beis­tle; two broth­ers, Tony “Skip” (Mary) Feucht and Eddie Feucht; sis­ter-in-law, Janet Falk; as well as many nieces, nephews, other rel­a­tives, and friends.   In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 60 years, Ed Gar­ri­ety; two sis­ters, Au­drey and Judy Feucht; sib­lings-in-law, Dick Falk and Joel (Kath­leen) Luedtke; niece, Tracy Flit­ter; and nephew, Tony Feucht.    VIS­I­TA­TION: Elis­a­beth’s fam­ily will greet rel­a­tives and friends on Fri­day, April 12, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at St. An­drew’s Catholic Church, W3081 County Rd.    Cynthia Jane Volz, 73, of Green Bay, passed away on March 26, 2024, surrounded by her family.    Cynthia’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2335 S. Webster Ave., Green Bay. Burial will take place at Hochheim Cemetery (Town of Herman). John David Wrucke

John David Wrucke


   John David Wrucke, 86, of Horicon, passed away at his home on Monday, March 25, 2024.    John was born the son of Royce and Rosella (Sohre) Wrucke Sr. on July 7, 1937, in Beaver Dam. He graduated from Horicon High School in 1955. After high school, John attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also played football. He was extremely proud of this achievement, but was not one to boast, so many did not even know this about John.   John married the love of his life, Lynn Smith, on August 24, 1957, at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon.    John was a lifelong, active member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon. He instilled in his children very early on that making time for church was a priority. When something at church needed to be done, John was there to lend a hand. He ushered, was an elder, and even coached St. Stephen’s basketball, when his son was on the team. John’s dedication and passion for farming was shown daily by the great care he took in everything he did. He started out farming with his father, then his brother, and most recently his grandson. Many unforgettable memories about the time spent together as a family will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved John. John was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. He enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, as well as trout fishing along with biking.   John is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; his son, Wesley (Pamela) Wrucke of Evansville, IN; his daughter, Tammie (Jeffery) Koenigs of Horicon; grandchildren, Joshua (Kendall) Wrucke, Jodi (Justin) Schraufnagel, Joseph (Elsa) Gerth, Connor Wrucke, Christian (Caleb) O’Brien; four great-grandchildren, Jasper and Jordy; John and Margaret; and brother, Steve Wrucke. John is further survived by other relatives and friends.    John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Royce Jr.   Funeral services for John took place on Monday, April 1, at 1 p.m. at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon with Rev. Mark C. Wilkens officiating. A visitation for John took place at church on Monday, April 1, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Interment followed the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.    Memorials in memory of John may be directed to St. Stephen Ev. Paul W. Walschmidt


Paul W. Waldschmidt, 75, of Campbellsport, passed away after a short illness at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday March 26, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1948, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late George and Mary (nee Dreikosen) Waldschmidt. He was a 1966 graduate of Campbellsport High School.   Paul was united in marriage to Karen F. Virta on October 30, 1971, at St. Nicholas Church in Dacada, WI.  Paul's first love was farming, and he worked the land and cared for the cows until his last days.  He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.  Paul enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat, watching his grandkids and great-grandchildren play sports.     Paul is survived by special friend, Karen Hartman; his sister, Joan Klapperich; children, Jeanne Landrath and Allan (Stephanie) Waldschmidt; grandchildren, Jordan (fiancee, Sabreena Loken), Nathan, Connor, and Myla; and great-grandchildren, Greyson and Layla; brothers-in-law, Joe Virta and Dan (Beth) Virta; and nieces, Kristia, Kaitlyn, and Mary Klapperich, Katie (Rich) Wares, and Kristi (Kim) Charlebois.    Paul is preceded in death by his, wife Karen F.; parents, George and Mary; brothers, Eugene “Gene” and Allen; son-in-law, Richard “Rich” Landrath; in-laws, Leo and Jeanette Virta; and sister-in-law, Dorthy (Gary) Beilke.    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 5, at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main Street, Campbellsport, WI 53010. Father Mark Jones will officiate, and a family burial will be held immediately following at St. Matthews Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church.      The family extends a special thank you to the Aurora at Home Hospice for helping us fulfill Paul's wish to come back to the farm one last time. Leona M. Hall


Leona “Lonie” M. Hall, 92, formerly of Campbellsport, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at SSM Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac with her beloved family gathered around her. She was born on May 23, 1931, in The Town of Ashford, the daughter of the late Ed and Lena (nee Reihert) Beck. On September 27, 1952, Lonie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Leo G. Hall, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Leo preceded her in death on April 4, 2000. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Church and Christian Women Lonie was engaged with her husband, Leo, on the farm and also worked at Guenther’s IGA store for 29 years. After taking a C.N.A. course, Lonie was employed at St. Joseph Convent for 25 years. After retirement, Lonie did demos at the store where she enjoyed talking to and meeting people, after which she was a volunteer for Heartland Hospice, did stitching at church, and did Loaves and Fishes. In the winter, mom would enjoy creating beautiful crafts, which she would sell at craft shows. Her flower gardens were her pride and joy, and Lonie was a member of the Garden Club and the Green Shirt Ladies. Lonie loved baking for family and others. We will miss her delicious baked goods and the love of her “sweet tooth”. She is survived by her children, Andy (Monica) Hall of Lodi, Joan (Dennis) Oppermann of Campbellsport, Jean (Bob) Kleist of West Bend, Al (Ellen) Hall, and Art (Mary) Hall, all of Campbellsport; her grandchildren, Jodi, Heather, Jackie, Jenny, Kevin, Becky, Jake, Dan, and Angie; her great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with her parents and her husband, Leo, Lonie was preceded in death by a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., Campbellsport, and on Thursday, April 4, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Mathhew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery. Dennis J. Seefeld

Dennis J. Seefeld


Dennis J. Seefeld passed away on March 19, 2024 and will be dearly missed by many. Dennis was born on August 1, 1954, to Warren and Genevieve (Schmitz) Seefeld at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. His early years were spent on the family farm in Eden. While growing up, he attended St. Louis and St. Mary’s Springs where he made lifelong friends. Dennis proudly worked in the family business, Seefeld Sales & Service, for many years selling and servicing Allis Chalmers tractors and implements across the Midwest. On July 27, 1985, Dennis married the love of his life, Sheila Brickle, and together they built a happy life surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Dennis & Sheila had one child, Bernadette, of whom Dennis was very proud and shared an exceptionally close bond. He was unwavering in his deep love and commitment to his family. He especially loved spending time with his twin granddaughters who he adored. Dennis’ passion for continuing education carried through his entire life, as he pursued multiple technical diplomas and certifications, as well as being a Journeyman level tradesman. He dedicated the majority of his career to Harley Davidson and was well liked and respected in the leadership roles he held. As a lifelong learner, he was endlessly curious, expanding his knowledge on topics such as gardening, history, the mysteries of the night sky and all things nature. An environmentalist at heart, Dennis passionately cared about the earth and loved exploring the outdoors. His knowledge of all things Wisconsin, specifically the best camping spots and fine establishments across the State, were unparalleled. He shared this love of the outdoors with his family and friends by planning many adventures such as the 4th of July camping trips, the annual “tree hunt” and endless canoe and kayak trips. As an avid paddler, he took great pleasure in navigating waterways and exploring new places. Dennis was also a season ticket holder and huge Green Bay Packers fan, rarely missing a game. One of his favorite things to do was get people together. He made a profound impact on the lives of others. He had a magnetic personality with a knack for remembering people’s names and a sincere way of making everyone feel welcome. Countless people will remember fun times by his side, being captivated by his stories and lively, caring spirit. He loved the competition and being part of the original Crandon Brush Run Races. The Flying “O” Farm Barn Dance meant a great deal to Dennis and was a place where many fond memories were made. He was the President of the Seefeld Family Reunion and very proud of his German heritage. Dennis is survived by his wife, Sheila; their daughter, Bernadette (Tim) Ericksen; twin granddaughters, Vivian & Loretta Ericksen; his sisters, Bonnie (Jeff) Timler and Gloria (Dennis) Rasmussen; along with many nieces and nephews. Dennis became a member of the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department in 1975, of which he was incredibly honored to serve.  They say it takes a village, and Dennis’ family is forever grateful for the village that surrounded them with support during his illness. Especially Mary Leasa, Rob, Randy & Dave Schultz, Bruce Manderle, Mike Krudwig, Jim Odekirk, Jay & Laura Leasa, Sarah Kerch, Jeff Timler, Linda Zeleske, Patty O’Hearn, Tom Wellnitz, Mona Tennessen, Colleen and Steve Lingenfelter, and dogs Yoda and Blitzen. A very special thank you to Dennis’ sister Bonnie for all of her steadfast love and nursing care. Additionally, thank you to Dr. Kilari and the team at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin for their compassionate care.  In the words of Clarence the Angel from It’s A Wonderful Life, “Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?  Va­le­ria “Val” Mae Goss passed away peace­fully on Sun­day, March 24, 2024, at The Charleston House in Beaver Dam.   Val was born the daugh­ter of Eric and Martha (Col­lien) Wag­ner on March 4, 1937, in Lomira.   She grad­u­ated from Lomira High School.   Val was united in mar­riage to William Goss on De­cem­ber 7, 1957, in Lomira. After they were mar­ried, the cou­ple moved to Farm­ersville and later to Fox Lake in 2000.    Val was in­volved with many small busi­nesses in the Mayville area.   She was a faith­ful mem­ber of St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Knowles. Val was very cre­ative and en­joyed cro­chet­ing, cross-stitch­ing, and quilt­ing. She also en­joyed play­ing bingo. Above all, Val cher­ished and loved her fam­ily and looked for­ward to spend­ing time with them when­ever she could.    Val is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Dale (Deb) Goss, Dan (Pauline) Goss, and David (Judy) Goss; four grand­chil­dren; and six great-grand­chil­dren.   Val was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; her hus­band, William; son, Duane Goss; sis­ter, Carol Wag­ner; and step-sis­ter, Lav­erne Vill­wock.   A vis­i­ta­tion for Val will take place on Mon­day, April 1, at the Koepsell Fu­neral Home in Mayville from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. A pri­vate fam­ily fu­neral ser­vice will be held with Rev. Matthew Kuske of­fi­ci­at­ing. Jean E. Dippel


Jean E. Dippel, 97, died Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2024, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, Plymouth, where she was a resident for the past seven years. She was born April 20, 1926, in the Town of Mitchell, Sheboygan County, the daughter of Ollie and Esther (Gatzke) Jeske. On June 17, 1944, Jean married Ralph E. Dippel at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cascade. Ralph preceded her in death on March 20, 1988. Jean was employed at Regal Ware, Kewaskum, for nearly 40 years. She and Ralph lived and farmed in the Town of Mitchell from 1944 until 1981 when they moved to Dundee, Fond du Lac County. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade and belonged to the Ladies Guild in the church. She loved gardening and flowers, baking, and spending time with her loving family. Jean is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Kelly) Heuver, Cedar Grove, and their three children, Kim (Tom) Bichler of Belgium, Kyle (Karen Hoffmann) Heuver of Waupun and Robin Heuver of Manitowoc; son, Randall (Becky Schulz) Dippel, Greenbush, and their children, Derrik (Stacy Hanson) Dippel and Brandon Dippel; daughter-in-law, Sheila (Wendt) Dippel, Cascade, and sons Jeremie (Jennifer Thull) and Jesse Dippel; son, Dean and Beth (Bartelt) Dippel, Cascade, and their daughter, Katie (Christopher Reilly). She is further survived by 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and her fourth son, Mark Jeske. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Roger; her brother and sister-in-law, Florian and Mildred (Kubitz) Jeske. Funeral services will be held on Monday (April 1, 2024) at 11:30 a.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Cascade. Visitation will be held on Monday Morning (April 1) from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jean’s name.
