Robert M. Sparks, 80, died July 1, 2019, in Mesa, AZ.
Robert was born April 3, 1939, in Canton, OH, the son of Charles E. and Elsie G. (nee Reigle) Sparks. He graduated from Kewaskum High School and UW-Madison.
Robert married Barbara Ann Reinke in Kewaskum on October 24, 1964. Robert was vice president of purchasing at Regal, international sourcing at Regal, semi-truck driver, and security officer at Brinks. He retired last year. Robert was a Boy Scouts of America scout leader, Robert belonged to the Kewanis Club, Hon-E-Kor golf leagues, Wings Over Wisconsin. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, and going out for dinner. He was an excellent saxophone player and played in “The Kool Gents” band in the 1970s. Robert was a wonderful father.
Survivors include his brother Jim (Mary, nee Naus), son David (Karen), daughter (Courtney Sparks-Wagner (Joe Wagner); grandchildren, Evan Wagner, Gabriel Wagner and Kaitlin Sparks; and his step-son, Jesse Byers.
Preceding Robert in death were his mother, Elsie Sparks; his father, Charles Sparks; his first wife, Barbara Sparks; his second wife, Kimetha Byers-Sparks; and his in-laws (Barbara’s parents), Francis and Hedwig Reinke.
Services for Robert will be held Friday, September 6, at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum beginning at 6 p.m. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4-6 p.m. There will be a short burial service at the Peace Church Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7.
