Roy Stanley Demge, 64, passed away unexpectedly at his friend’s home in Briggsville on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
Roy was born in Port Washington on November 13, 1960, to Stanley and Janice (Mueller) Demge. He attended Campbellsport High School and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country for eight years.
Following his time in service, Roy held several different jobs throughout his career mostly as a machinist.
He married Peggy Way on August 21, 1987, and they have enjoyed many happy years together. They retired in 2023 and began traveling in 2024. Roy was a drummer in his younger days and enjoyed camping, boating and working on small engines. He had a fondness for his cat and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Though he left us suddenly, he will be remembered for his love for a good campfire and traveling with Peggy.
Roy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Peggy and three children, Jenny (Mickey) Molina, Thomas Demge and Jasmine (Joe Ozga) Demge, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Debbie (Kurt) Turdo, Steve Dodge and Dawn Demge.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Theresa Gasser; and great-grandson, Isaiah.
Honoring Roy’s wishes, he will be laid to rest at Central Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at King with full military honors and private services.
A Celebration of Roy’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 1 until 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 329, W8539 WI-23, Briggsville, WI 53920.
