In the early hours of May 19, 2025, Pam passed from this life at age 83, following a brief and unexpected illness.
She is survived by her two sons, Derek (Kate Cudney), Brian (Beth Zirngible); granddaughter, Zoe; and sister, Jennifer Kraemer (Bill). She is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Laura Voss and Rae Voss; and brother-in-law; Richard; numerous special nieces and nephews, and a circle of dear friends who spanned her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. F.E. and Evelyn Nolting; in-laws, Ed and Gladys Voss; a brother-in-law, Tom; a nephew, Greg Voss; and a niece, Donna Toelke.
Pam was born and raised in Kewaskum, in the 40s and 50s, and was blessed with a loving and supportive childhood. After graduating as valedictorian of the class of 1959, she attended the University of Wisconsin, earning a BS degree in Retail Merchandising.
Upon graduation she began her career as an assistant manager at Marshall Fields and Co. It was there that she met her beloved partner of 53 years, Jerry Voss. Together Pam and Jerry raised their two sons, Derek and Brian, and built their life together. After Jerry’s retirement, she and Jerry enjoyed extensive travel adventures with numerous friends and strangers who became friends. Some of Pam’s fondest memories came from seeing the world.
Besides being a voracious reader, puzzler and antique collector, she was an avid sports enthusiast, (as a spectator only!). Her TV viewing schedule was dictated by the football, basketball, baseball, and tennis seasons, and she thoroughly enjoyed discussing the finer points of all.
Pam was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend, and will be missed by all.
Pam requested that her gathering of remembrance be a celebration of her reunion with her partner, Jerry, and all the other family members who preceded her. She wanted her friends and family to laugh and share stories of good times they had together. The gathering is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI, at 11 a.m. Remembrances by family at 12 p.m. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, Pam wanted to continue her support of the scholarship program for the children of State Patrol officers through the Wisconsin Troopers Benevolent Foundation, which started upon Jerry’s passing.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the caring personnel of Comfort Keepers, Aurora Home Health and her dear friends who were so kind to Pam on her final journey.
