John Andrew Berres from the Town of Farmington, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, at his home at the age of 72 years.
He was born on January 12, 1954, in Farmington to the late Andrew and Gertrude (nee Fieweger) Berres.
On September 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to Michele M. Moore in West Bend. Michelle predeceased him on March 21, 2020.
John and Michele purchased the farm in 1988, where they farmed with his parents and moved to the farm in 1996. John always treasured his Brown Swiss cattle.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Rosemarie (Rev. Thomas Sherbrook) Berres of Milwaukee, Michael of Kewaskum, James (Linda) of Kewaskum, Linda (Robert) Salentine of Pine, CO, Frederick (Barbara) of West Bend and Gerald (Patricia) of West Bend; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. John will be laid to rest by his beloved wife, Michele, in St. John of God Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. John of God Catholic Chapel, St. Michael’s Catholic Church or to the Capuchins for Mass intentions (Seraphic Mass Associates, 5217 Butler St, Ste 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15201-2657).
