On April 29, 2025 at 10:18 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Eden Fire Department were dispatched to a garage fire at 104 Sheridan St., in the Village of Eden, Fond du Lac County.
When deputies and fire personnel arrived on scene, there was smoke and flames coming from the two detached garages on the property, and the fire was starting to spread to the house. Fire personnel were able to contain the fire to the two garages and a shed on the property. One side of the house sustained fire damage on the exterior of the residence, but the house was saved from the fire by the responding fire departments. The two garages, a small shed, and a vehicle in the driveway are considered a total loss.
The official cause of the fire is unknown at this time. There were no injuries as a result of the fire, and all animals on the property and in the house are accounted for and unharmed.
The Eden Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the following departments: Eden first responders, Campbellsport Fire, Town of Fond du Lac Fire, Mt. Calvary Fire, RIT Team 4, RIT Team 2, St. Cloud Fire, Oakfield Fire, Brownsville Fire, Lamartine Fire, Lomira Fire, City of Fond du Lac Fire, Kewaskum Fire, and an ambulance from Campbellsport.
