KAREN ROUSE City of Mayville Officer Kirsten Birch, a five-year employee of the Mayville Police Department, resigned from the MPD on January 3 to accept another position, advancing her public safety career. At the same time, K9 Boja, a nearly six-year-old German shepard popular with members of the community, was retired from public service.
