June 6, 1889 Dodge County Pionier Isaac Winter has sold the waterpower rights and the dam of the old wool factory, together with the village of Manchester, and the adjoining land consisting of about 60 acres to August Marohl for $2,000. The dam will be rebuilt and other improvements will be made by Mr. Marohl. Carl B. Briemann sold his machine shop at Theresa to the Young brothers of Ashland for $3,000. Janelle Nicolaus Added To School District Of Horicon Board Of Education MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER An board seat left absent by Eric Krause-Emerick, who moved out of the district, was filled at the monthly School District of Horicon Board of Education meeting on Monday, May 20. Filling the Village of Iron Ridge/Village of Kekoskee seat is Janelle Nicolaus, who brings experience with Horicon’s PTO to the board. Before being inducted, Nicolaus stated she was looking for more ways to get involved with the school, and she is looking forward to being part of the positive changes taking place within the district in the coming years.

Jessiffany Canine Services and Iron Ridge Police At St. Matthew’s The St. Matthew’s Lutheran School student body and teachers pose with the Iron Ridge police officers and dog trainers from Jessiffany Canine Services based out of Iron Ridge. The three groups came together for a pizza party on Tuesday, May 21 at the school. After the assembly, Jessie Smith of Jessiffany expressed a desire to see a K-9 with the IRPD, even offering to donate a trained dog to the force.
