Den­nis Lee Duthie, 77, of Mayville, passed away on Tues­day, Jan. 9, 2024, at Welling­ton Place in Hart­ford.   Den­nis was born the son of Earl and Edna (Ja­worski) Duthie on Au­gust 5, 1946, in De­troit, MI. He was a grad­u­ate of Oak­land Uni­ver­sity in Rochester Hills, MI.   Den­nis served his coun­try in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974 and was part of the Viet­nam Con­flict.   Den­nis was united in mar­riage to Mar­lene Beck on Feb­ru­ary 11, 1983, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Theresa.    Den­nis was an ac­tive mem­ber of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church and served as a pre­vi­ous trea­surer.   Den­nis worked for many years at West Bend Mu­tual and later re­tired as a sys­tem pro­gram­mer/soft­ware en­gi­neer.    At­tend­ing sport­ing events and being there for his chil­dren and grand­chil­dren was a top pri­or­ity for Den­nis. He took great pride in his gar­den­ing and sold pro­duce at local farm­ers mar­kets.    Den­nis will be deeply missed by his wife, Mar­lene; chil­dren, Daniel (Katie) Duthie of Theresa, An­drew (Sarah) Duthie of Hart­ford, Sara (Gar­land) Sim­rel of Mayville; eight grand­kids, Ken­zie, Maddy, Levi, Lily, Lan­don, Lucy, Trey, and Aleeyah; one sis­ter, Diane Williams of Rochester Hills, MI; sis­ter-in-law, Glo­ria Beck; and broth­ers-in-law, Milan and Eu­gene Beck. Den­nis was fur­ther sur­vived by other rel­a­tives and friends.    Den­nis was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and brother, Dale (Pat) Duthie.    A Fu­neral Ser­vice for Den­nis took place on Sat­ur­day, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Theresa with Rev. Matthew Kuske of­fi­ci­at­ing.    Juanita C. Schultz, 95, of Mayville, was wel­comed into God’s king­dom on Jan­u­ary 9, 2024. She was born in Dun­lap, IA, on April 5, 1928, to Beu­lah (McIn­tosh) and Clark Richard­son. Juanita’s fam­ily moved to Mayville in the early 1940s.   After grad­u­at­ing from Mayville High School in 1946, Juanita went on to ap­pren­tice with Lavita (Hugg) MacMil­lian at the Mayville Beauty Shop and ob­tained her cos­me­tol­ogy li­cense. Juanita was bap­tized and con­firmed a week be­fore she mar­ried David N. Schultz on May 22, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mayville. To­gether they raised three daugh­ters – Jill, Patti and Jana.    Through­out Juanita’s life, she worked along­side David run­ning their car deal­er­ship, the River­side Apart­ments and de­vel­op­ing Golf View Es­tates. She also worked at the Mayville Li­brary and as a hair­styl­ist at sev­eral local sa­lons.   Juanita was a mem­ber of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sun­day School, su­per­vised the li­brary, and par­tic­i­pated in sev­eral groups. She helped out with the Girl Scouts, when her chil­dren were small. She was a mem­ber of the Mayville His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety and Main Street Mayville. When she wasn’t work­ing or vol­un­teer­ing, you would find Juanita read­ing books, work­ing on the fam­ily ge­neal­ogy, play­ing Bridge with her friends, or cheer­ing for the Green Bay Pack­ers.    Juanita, a lov­ing and de­voted mother is sur­vived by her daugh­ters, Patti (Jim) Schegetz and Jana (Steve) Bach­hu­ber; grand­chil­dren, RC (Julie) Schroeder, Brett (Kim) Schroeder, Joe (Shelly) Surita, Schelagh (George) Dehler, Mynda (Terry) Miser, Lisa (Lavel) Rhynes, Kirstyn (Andy) Droese, Teri (Luke) Sali­nas, Cait­lyn (Scott) Hartwig and Jes­sica (Ethan) Hass; fur­ther sur­vived by 24 great-grand­chil­dren and three great-great-grand­chil­dren. She is also sur­vived by cousins and friends.   Juanita was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of al­most 60 years, David in 2008; her daugh­ter, Jill Schneiter in July of 2023; her son-in-law, Bill Schneiter; her par­ents, Beu­lah and Clark Richard­son; in-laws, Erna and Edwin “Pat” Schultz; and two great-grand­chil­dren.   Juanita was a truly great woman whose im­pact will be for­ever felt by her fam­ily, that loved her dearly. She was a self­less woman whose pass­ing will leave an un­fil­l­able gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her abil­ity to sac­ri­fice, pro­vide, sup­port, for­give, and love will be for­ever in­grained in all she knew.   A vis­i­ta­tion with the fam­ily was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 16 S. Wal­nut St., Mayville at 10:30 on Mon­day, Jan. 15. A fu­neral ser­vice fol­lowed the vis­i­ta­tion at noon. Rev. Traci Maass of­fi­ci­ated.    Nancy Baney, 70, of Hustisford, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, while at UW Hospital in Madison.    Nancy was born the daughter of Calvin and Delores (Stark) Becker on September 2, 1953. She was a 1971 graduate of Hustisford High School.       Nancy was united in marriage to Daniel Baney on September 26, 1987, in Beaver Dam, and they are now reunited in Heaven.   Nancy devoted 46 years to working as a medical records clerk in long term care. Outside of this work, she was also the family caretaker - sharing her big heart and always selflessly caring and providing for others. Family meant everything to Nancy; even in her last days, she was more concerned with the wellbeing of her loved ones than with her own. She was a well-loved member at St. John’s Church in Woodland and allowed the work of our heavenly Father to shine through in her every action.    Nancy had a passion for gardening and baking. She spent her spare time tending to her many flower beds and fulfilling the duties of the family baker. Countless calories she shared - pies, cookies, and her famous tortes! During the holidays, she would make dozens of pies and over 50 dozen cookies! She loved sharing her techniques and recipes with others, including any and all "in the fun and the labor of love" as she always said.   Nancy is survived by her daughter, Abigail (Zachary) Kimmel of Trempealeau and ‘daughter’, Brae (Jerret Parker) Landess and their sons, Liam and Landon of Green Bay; siblings, Bonnie Becker of Mayville, Stuart Becker of Iron Ridge, Karen (Don) Baney of Iron Ridge and Richard Becker of Iron Ridge; siblings-in-law, Kathryn (Gregory) Keup. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.    Nancy was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; and sister-in-law, Cheri Becker.    A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27 from 1-4 p.m. at the Mayville American Legion Post #69 in Mayville.   Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at UW Hospital for providing Nancy with loving care and comfort. We will always carry Nancy in our hearts, and she will be missed dearly by many.   Barbara “Barb” Breitkreutz, 81, of Mayville passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Dec. 25, surrounded by her loving family.   Barb was born the daughter of Earl and Catherine (Leibl) Schmidt Sr. on December 27, 1941, in Beaver Dam.   She was united in marriage to Roger Hartwig Sr. on August 12th, 1960, at Zion Lutheran church in Horicon. Together the couple had four children. After Roger’s passing in 2005, Barb was united in marriage on April 23, 2016, to Dennis Breitkreutz at Christian Life Fellowship.    Barb was a loving wife and mom, elevating the role of housewife to an artform. Despite that being her full-time chosen profession, she always found time to serve the needs of others.    She was a very active member at her church home, Christian Life Fellowship. She served alongside Roger as CLF Youth Group leaders, worked as the church secretary and was a long-time member of the choir, gleefully singing praises to her Lord. She was the president of the Beaver Dam chapter of Women's Aglow Ministries as well. She served as a Brownie troop leader, nurturing the lives of many young girls. Barb also enjoyed her time bowling on the Tuesday morning women's league at Dodge Center; a highly decorated member of the “Wacky Wood Ducks” team. Despite her distaste for bugs, Barb enjoyed golfing, leisurely pontoon rides, long, meandering rides on the back of a Harley. Although she fully participated in family camping trips, it was most definitely not her favorite outdoor activity! Barb was a loving caregiver, holding hands, providing comfort, praying for and with many people in need. She was also a loving and dedicated dog sitter for “her” beloved Oreo. Being sisters and best friends, she and Sonja enjoyed “Crazy Tuesday” every week, going wherever her little red convertible would take them, oftentimes to casinos or to Crivitz for Shaffer’s fried chicken. No matter the destination, the time they shared was their gift to one another. Barb was blessed to share her final years with her loving husband, Dennis.    Barb will be deeply missed by husband Dennis; daughter, Cathy (Scott) Hoffman of West Bend and son, Roger Hartwig Jr. of Mayville.; grandchildren, Joe (Kristina) Dunbar, Ben Dunbar, Katie (James Gates) Hoffman, Jess Hoffman, Stephanie Hartwig and Michael Hartwig; great-granddaughter, Natalia Dunbar; stepchildren, Wendy Breitkreutz, Wayne Breitkreutz and Marty Breitkreutz. Barb is further survived by other beloved relatives and friends.    Barb was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Roger Sr.; daughters, Timi Conley and infant daughter, Shirley Jean Hartwig; sisters, Sonja Hiley and Shirley Mae Pilsner; and brother, Earl Schmidt.   A celebration of Life for Barb will take place on Friday, Jan. 12, at Christian Life Fellowship in Mayville with Pastor Matt Lewandowski officiating.    A visitation for family and friends will take place from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. with coffee, sweet treats, and fellowship to follow.    The family invites you to wear red in loving memory of Barb.
