Delores Elsie Mielke


Delores Elsie Mielke, 89, formerly of Dundee, passed away peacefully at the Highland Lake Center in Lakeland, FL on Saturday, October 7, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Carl and Elsie (nee Paulin) Siedschlag. Delores was united in marriage to Walner “Mike” Mielke on July 16, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee where she is still a member. Mike preceded her in death on April 12, 1991. Delores was a Sunday School Teacher for 15 years and sang in the choir. She belonged to the Ladies Aid, holding all the different officer positions. Delores was a waitress for over 50 years, and she threw horseshoes for over 16 years. She belonged to card clubs, loved rummage sales, and enjoyed playing games on the computer. Delores adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores is survived by her two sons, Roger (Teresa) Mielke and Ralph (Sherry) Mielke; grandchildren, Sherry (Mike) Braswell, Sarah Bobbitt, Nick (Laura) Mielke, Tyler (Kim) Mielke, Kelly (Jeremy) Hall, and Michelle (Devin) Denton; 22 great-grandchildren, extended grandchildren and family, Cody, Shane and Kevin Backhaus and families, Roy and Brenda Lee Grohall, and Joanne and Jeff Phyall; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Along with her husband, Mike, Delores was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ruthann Grohall; and brother, Carl (Evelyn) Siedschlag, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday, October 14, from 11 a.m. until time of service at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee (W494 Elm St., Campbellsport, WI 53010). A funeral service will be Saturday, October 14, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Bobby Oberg officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church and School. The family extends a special thank you to Sherry and Mike for opening their home and the love and care shown to Delores.
