Gloria Theresa McCarty


Gloria Theresa McCarty, 93, formerly of the Town of Ashford, passed away peacefully Friday, May 12, 2023, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. She was born on August 9, 1929, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Bernard and Loretta (nee Liebel) Grohall. The family moved to West Allis when Gloria was three years old. She spent all her summers growing up with her Grandma Liebl at her cottage on Round (now Kettle Moraine) Lake. She graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1947 and met her future husband, John, at Lake Resort when on vacation in 1949. On October 20, 1951, Gloria was united in marriage to John F. “Bud” McCarty by Gloria’s uncle, Rev. Edward Grohall, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in West Allis. They moved to the family farm in 1955, a great adjustment for Gloria. She loved sewing, knitting (making many sweaters), gardening and swimming. Gloria was also an avid reader and an excellent cook and baker; the McCartys never had trouble hiring farmhands as they all greatly enjoyed Gloria’s meals.Survivors include her children, Thomas (Sharon), Kevin (Christel), Beth (Joseph) Stoffel, Amy (Randy) Geiger and John P., all of Campbellsport; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jim) Guell, Joshua (Elissa) Stoffel, Jeffrey Stoffel (Jenna), Ian (Jill) Stoffel, Laura Stoffel (Eric), Melissa McCarty, Nathan (Aimee) McCarty, Megan McCarty, Sarah (Justin) Hamilton, and Rebecca (Julio) Alonzo; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard Grohall; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John “Bud”; sister, Bernice (Peter) Sparacino; brother, Robert (Judy) Grohall; and sister-in-law, Nancy Grohall.Visitation was held Tuesday, May 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., Campbellsport, and on Wednesday, May 17, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport.A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis J. Bartoli


Dennis J. Bartoli, 77, of Campbellsport went home to his Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Edenbrook in Fond du Lac. He was born in Campbellsport on August 31, 1945, the son of Frank and Evelyn Bartoli. Dennis served his country in the U.S.A. Navy stationed on the U.S.S. Intrepid with three years stationed in Vietnam.On June 28, 1969, Dennis was united in marriage to Geraldine “Toots” Zimmer at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport where they continue to be members. Dennis worked at Regal Ware in Kewaskum for 44 years and he also ran Bartoli Produce and Market with his wife Geraldine for over 50 years. He was a member of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 in Lomira. Those left behind to cherish Dennis’ memory include his wife, Geraldine “Toots”; children, Julie Bartoli (special friend, Tony Ranieri) of Sheboygan, Carl (Candi) Bartoli of Fond du Lac, and Rebecca Bartoli of Campbellsport; grandchildren, Cody Schrauth (special friend, Miranda Galligan), Brandon and Bailey Schrauth, Matthew Schrauth, Kristyn Schrauth, Gracelyn Engel, Jade Bartoli, Sophia Bartoli, and Michael Bartoli; siblings and siblings-in-law, Richard and Sarah Bartoli, Charmaine and Raymond Hernandez, Dorothy and Manny Batzler, Ray Zimmer, Tom Zimmer, Helen Lauters, and Irene Brenon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; parents, Frank and Evelyn; step-father, Martin Baerenwald; in-laws, Gerald and Antonia Zimmer and Agnes Zimmer; siblings and siblings-in-law, Francis Bartoli, Katherine and Art Tomlinson, Carl Zimmer, Bonnie Zimmer, Sue Zimmer, Daniel Lauters, and Dale Brenon.Visitation for Dennis was Tuesday, May 16, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport.A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 16, at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Rev.
