PET THERAPY from page 1 interaction with therapy animals. The goal of the program is to promote reading to children in area schools and bring joy to those in nursing homes around the area. Ahuge part of Healing Paws is the R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program. This program is dedicated to improving the skills of young readers by using therapy dog teams as literacy mentors.
